1- The primary goal of information technology is to implement an integrated financial management information system for the Ministry of Finance.

2- It is a non-profit service directorate that provides consultations and solutions in the field of information technology through the following:

a. Analyzing processes and studying business requirements.
b. Developing plans and proposing appropriate solutions.
c. Studying feasibility of implementation and proposing suitable solutions.
d. Executing directly and, when necessary, seeking assistance from the private sector through specialized companies that rely on modern technologies in their field of work, which have not previously been undertaken, and only after obtaining proper approvals.
e. Relying on the Information Technology Directorate to design, develop, and monitor the implementation of systems for some of the Ministry’s departments, upon their request.
