- Tasks: The tasks of the Media and Government Communication Department generally include preparing and editing news, statements, press releases, video reports, graphic designs, and infographics, and publishing them through the Ministry's website and official social media platforms. The department also communicates and coordinates with the Minister's office to cover the activities of His Excellency the Minister of Finance and with the various departments within the Ministry of Finance to cover all their activities and achievements. Furthermore, the department processes and follows up on all official correspondence received from the Ministry's departments and various government entities.
On another note, the Media and Government Communication Department represents the Ministry in meetings of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers/Government Media Team and the Government Media and Communication Office, and follows up on and implements the recommendations issued by these meetings.
First: Tasks of the Media Division
1. Preparing press releases on the most prominent events and activities taking place within the Ministry.
2. Preparing press and digital reports on the Ministry's activities.
3. Covering the field visits of His Excellency the Minister of Finance inside and outside Iraq.
4. Providing various media outlets with information and news on an ongoing basis about the Ministry's activities.
5. Representing the Ministry at media and press conferences and forums held inside and outside Iraq.
6. Monitoring news and reports related to financial and economic affairs published in various media outlets through daily press monitoring and forwarding them to the Minister's office.
7. Assisting the Ministry's departments and affiliated entities in covering their various activities.
8. Publishing announcements from the Ministry's departments and affiliated entities on the internet and social media platforms.
9. Publishing all news from the Ministry and its affiliated entities on the Ministry's official social media platforms.
10. Overseeing the development of the official website and providing it with news and reports on the activities and events of all the Ministry and its affiliated entities.
11. Preparing scripts for dramatic scenes (advertising spots) that highlight the Ministry's activities and events.
12. Publishing news subtitles on various satellite channels on a continuous basis.
13. Implementing media campaigns related to the activities of all the Ministry and its affiliated entities.
14. Preparing congratulatory and condolence messages for national and religious occasions. 15. Photographing and documenting all activities of the Ministry and its departments (photos and videos).
16. Editing videos of events, celebrations, conferences, meetings, and activities for publication.
17. Creating a comprehensive archive of photos and videos related to the activities of the Minister of Finance and all Ministry departments.
18. Participating in media and public relations committees established within the Ministry and its departments.
19. Organizing cultural, awareness, and art exhibitions.
20. Preparing and designing graphic and infographic cards showcasing the achievements of the Ministry and its departments.
21. Organizing events as directed by the government.
22. Daily monitoring of press coverage related to the work and activities of the Ministry and its departments in various media outlets.
Second: Tasks of the Government Communication Division
1. Preparing daily and weekly media reports on the news of the Ministry and its affiliated entities and submitting them electronically on a daily and weekly basis to the Government Communication and Media Office at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Media Office of the Prime Minister/Government Media Team, ensuring the Ministry receives the best possible ratings in its interaction and communication with senior official bodies in the media field.
2. Coordinating and communicating with the Government Communication and Media Offices in all ministries and agencies to support the Ministry's work.
3. Receiving instructions and directives issued by the Government Communication Office at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers regarding media offices, through the Minister of Finance's office.
4. Monitoring the effectiveness of the Ministry's and its affiliated entities' official social media sites and pages, and ensuring they contain accurate and up-to-date information.
5. Communicating with the heads of media departments in all Ministry affiliated entities regarding their activities, achievements, and future plans.
6. Preparing a quarterly "Periodic Guide" containing statistics on the news, activities, and achievements of the Ministry and all its affiliated entities.
